Time Management for Managers

     

    Course Description:

    Time Management for Managers and other Administrative Staff is designed to help supervisors manage their workload plus their team’s activities. Participants will discuss managerial time management tactics including task prioritization, delegation, and schedule control. Course materials will also discuss how chronotypes, midpoints, restorative breaks, and new beginnings affect productivity, work ethic, and focus.

     

    Learning Objectives:

    1. Describe the process by which codes are created, modified, or deleted, and demonstrate how to submit a public input on the National Fire Protection Association’s website.
    2. Describe how the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) codify laws as the Conditions of Participation (CoPs) as well as the types of codes and standards CMS enforces.
    3. Name the various accrediting organizations (AOs) that contract with CMS and describe the relationship between AO standards and CMS law.
    4. Explain how typical codebooks and standards are organized, and demonstrate how to navigate the TJC CAHM Manual (Standards) to find crucial information.
    5. Name the major Joint Commission (TJC) Standards chapters relevant to healthcare facilities, and describe some of their relevant inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) requirements, including written documentation.
