Healthcare facilities operate and function differently than other business environments, especially commercial office buildings. The Environment of Care is highly regulated to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and to provide a safe healing environment for patients. Participants in this course discuss distinguishing characteristics between a healthcare facility versus other building types and the reasons behind these differences.
